Pilates and Cadillac Reformers

Personal Pilates
Personal Pilates training is taught on a sophisticated piece of equipment called a "Cadillac Reformer". It is composed of a moving base which has four springs which can be released or added to change the tension levels as the clients pulls or pushes against them. Various arrangements of bars, springs, and pullies allows for a great variety of exercises. A client's routine begins with full body exercises that are performed while lying down with their spine fully supported. They will then progress to sitting, kneeling, and standing. Each level of progression brings new and exciting challenges. All movements are initiated from the larger muscle groups of the torso. As the core is strengthened and stabilized, the muscles of the arms and legs are also worked in a lengthened position, creating amazing tone without bulk. Because Pilates work on a Reformer is "closed-chain", it allows for careful alignment, creating beautiful posture. You will be greatly pleased by the changes you will feel and see in your body as you develop your Pilates practice.
